This delightful spacious cottage sits snug into the hillside next to Kay Creek, secluded and away from the noise of passing traffic on the Huon Highway.
Kay Creek Cottage is for guests wanting a private getaway. It is not part of a complex, it is not a B & B - you won’t be bumping into people in the middle of the night
Kay Creek Cottage and its beautiful, natural surrounds are all yours
The cottage sits amid 6 acres of bush and pasture and features a dining room, kitchen, lounge, 1 bedroom with queen sized bed, bathroom and a balcony that looks out over giant tree ferns to a view of the magnificent Huon River just down below.
Wander through our private orchard, pick the organic fruits when in season…apples, pears, plums, cherries, berries or just sit and watch the boats and rowers out on the river. The view (pictured opposite) from the seat just above the orchard looks all the way to the Sleeping Beauty range which is often covered in snow.
Kay Creek Cottage is ideal in all seasons.
Spring sees the property dotted with colour as the snowbells and daffodils break through to catch the sun, Summer is sun and fruit picked fresh from the tree. The first sighting of the little red robin heralds Autumn where the leaves on the vines change to burnish golds and crimson. Then comes Winter, with snow on the hills and the cottage full of warmth from the log fire.
Read what Lonely Planet had to say in their guide to Tasmania for 2006 "This timber lined cosy cottage is self contained and fully equipped and exhibits great attention to detail. It features stereo and a CD collection, games, wood fire and a bucolic setting with great views."
