Welcome to Jacaranda Grove.
Luxurious & romantic, Federation-style bed and breakfast accommodation on the edge of the Great Dividing Range. Minutes from fine restaurants, antique shops, golf courses, nursery & galleries.
Jacaranda Grove is a 1930s-style home whose period appeal has been artfully complemented by Jan McIlwraith’s sympathetic interior design and her skill in arranging fresh flowers.
A professional decorator, Jan has imbued this gracious home with just the right feel… a lovely combination of antique and Federation-style furniture, complementary fabrics and interesting bric a brac.
Guests are invited to relax in the private sitting room or enjoy the magical ambience of the deck which overlooks an ever-changing view down the Lockyer Valley.
MEALS & REFRESHMENTS:
Jan is a gourmet cook and provides scrumptious breakfasts – fresh exotic tropical fruit, homemade blueberry muffins, croissants and lashings of jam and cream, freshly squeezed juices and brewed coffee followed by garlic mushrooms with herbs is a typical breakfast. Served on the sunny deck, it’s a meal fit for a king!
A sumptuous afternoon tea is served mid-afternoon on the day of your arrival. Luscious cake or sensational sandwiches are accompanied by plunger coffee or Twinings teas on fine china with beautiful silver appointments. The ritual is enjoyed either in the drawing room, in the garden or on the delightful deck whilst admiring the Range views from this very peaceful precinct.
The day usually ends with a glass or two of fine port, coffee and chocolates in the sitting room.
